Transplant Nurse Coordinator - Liver

The Johns Hopkins Hospital Liver Transplant Nurse Coordinator prepares patients for transplantation through arranging and monitoring required testing, providing education, and ensuring that internal and external activities are coordinated.

Responsibilities:
Assessment of patient health status through diagnostic procedures and tests, review of labs and other clinical indicators Provides patient care working closely with other members of the transplant team.
Collects and maintains data required for patient care, research and reporting to outside agencies.
Assumes responsibility for on call activities that include organizing transplants and triaging patient Shifts:
8 hour days; no weekends
Qualifications:
BSN/MSN from an accredited nursing program required.
Active Maryland or Compact RN license is required.
BLS CPR certification required:
AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network accepted Minimum of 3 years of RN in-patient med/surg work experience; experience with transplant patients is preferred.
