Supervisory IT Specialist

In order to qualify for the Supervisory IT Specialist, GS-2210-15, you must have IT related experience demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience obtained in either the private or public sector, and/or completion of specific, intensive training that demonstrates ability to perform the following competencies:
Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations AND Have one (1) year of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector, typically gained in the IT field or through performing IT related tasks such as:
leading, guiding, and overseeing a range of organizational information technology programs and services; directing or developing changes in IT policies, plans, methods, and practices for improvement in IT programs and services; reviewing and evaluating IT systems and services to ensure that customer requirements, needs and expectations are being met; and assigning, reviewing, and evaluating the work of subordinate staff to ensure compliance with IT standards, processes, and procedures. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
