Job Description Project Manager IMMEDIATE OPENING Millersville, MD Overview:

To be successful this individual should have several years' experience in a similar role working on Industrial Design/Build projects.
The project manager is responsible for taking the project from the early stages of development to completion.
OVERALL
Responsibilities:
o Work closely with estimating department to understand material costs etc.
o Establish and maintain schedules for all stages of the project.
o Review and maintain budget allocating funds by stage.
o Work with owner, architects, code enforcement officials and others pertinent to the project.
o Work with owner/client to explain each stage, provide updates, obtain approvals and complete change orders for scope of work revisions.
o Develop strong working relationships with all subcontractors/vendors.
o Work with vendors/suppliers to obtain pricing and delivery dates.
o Secure fair market value contracts.
o Ensure all work is done in compliance with OSHA and company risk management policies.
o Manage the overall team providing clear communication of project objectives and guidance to resolve problems in a timely manner.
o Monitor project costs to stay within budget.
o Prepare status reports identifying cost overruns, construction delays, trade union updates and other relevant information.
o Manage the close out process.
o Travel as needed dependent upon project assignments.
DESIRED SKILLS AND
Experience:
o Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
o Five (5) plus years working as a project manager on Industrial precast and tilt construction projects.
o Ability to make decisions under tight deadlines.
o Ability to manage multiple projects to accomplish desired results.
o Basic understanding of construction law.
o Adhere to company policies and regulations.
o Ability to effectively manage a team providing sound leadership.
o Customer service oriented.
o OSHA 30-hour training o SWPPP training o Strong verbal and written communication.
o Computer Skills:
Proficiency using Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, Outlook Qualified candidates must respond by providing a resume with a project list.
