For the GS-5:
You must have at least one year of specialized experience at the GS-04 or equivalent level. Specialized experience includes performing reading tasks of a variety of materials to the visually-impaired; ability to read and/or translate written or oral statements/materials and to effectively communicate, both in written and oral forms.Preparing files with appropriate forms for the investigative process and editing and typing a variety of documents typically from verbal dictation or four (4) years of education above high school in any field of study from an accredited college or university or a combination of education and experience (only education in excess of the first 60 semester hours (i.e., beyond the second year) is creditable toward meeting the specialized experience requirement. One full academic year of study (30 semester hours) beyond the second year is equivalent to 6 months of specialized experience). You must meet all qualification and eligibility requirements by the closing date of this announcement. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
