Investigative Analyst/Direct Hire (Opioid Crisis)

If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team that is responsible for performing difficult and complex investigative analysis duties in support of the opioid crisis. Typical work assignments will include:
Determining matters of facts relating to statutory law and regulatory law. Developing and/or analyzing evidence. Determining or making recommendations of the most effective methods for planning and conducting investigations. Gathering and analyzing a variety of documentation to include invoices, bank statements, computer data, etc. Consolidates and synthesizes relevant data from multiple sources. Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress. GS-11:
To be eligible at the GS-11, you must meet one full year of specialized experience. as defined below. Specialized
Experience:
One full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-9. Specialized experience is defined as analyzing evidence from investigators and law enforcement, devising methods of preserving and presenting evidence, making recommendations for planning and conducting investigations, and reviewing records after the execution of search warrants. Education:
You must have one of the following types of education in a closely related field (e.g. Criminal Justice), Ph.D. or equivalent doctorate degree; OR 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree. Combination of Education and
Experience:
Combination of specialized experience and education which, when combined, equals 100% of the requirements. Combinations of successfully completed graduate education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements. In order to qualify based on a combination, graduate education must be in excess of 2 full years. GS-12:

Experience:
One full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11. Specialized experience is defined as developing and/or analyzing evidence from investigators and law enforcement, determining the most effective methods for planning and conducting investigations, and analyzing a variety of records and documentation pertaining to transactions, events, or allegations under investigation. Interagency Career Transition Assistance Plan (ICTAP)- The ICTAP provides eligible displaced Federal competitive service employees with selection priority over other candidates for competitive service vacancies. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
