Instructional Designer

full-time position with Information Technology Services; 37.5 hours per week; Monday Friday
Provide vision, leadership, and coordination in designing, developing, and delivering onlineself-paced learning modules and courses led by the Johns Hopkins University (JHU) School ofNursing (SON) Interprofessional Education (IPE) initiative. (The IPE initiative is an interdisciplinarycollaboration between JHU School of Nursing and School of Medicine and Notre Dame of MarylandUniversity School of Pharmacy.)
Provide strategic input, support, and training fortraining modules and relevant education technology platforms.Coordinate development of instructional materials that are functional, informative, and consistentwith sound instructional design principles, including alignment of educational objectives withcontent, activities, and assessments.Provide recommendations for interface design, sequencing of instruction, use of assessments, andonline interactive activities.Research and evaluate new and emerging technologies, instructional design theories, and approachesand policies for potential application to instructional opportunities. Plan, develop, and delivercognitively sound curriculum content.Collaborate with teams of writers and subject matter experts to ensure instructional integrity of thecourse development projects through a method of systematic design and clear course standards andoutcomes.Ensure compliance of developed materials with federal 508 disability accessibility regulations.(Section 508 is a part of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, which requires that electronic andinformation technology developed, procured, maintained or used by the Federal government beaccessible to people with disabilities.)Manage project timelines and coordinate with team members and partners to meet projectdeliverable deadlines.Utilize effective communication skills to communicate frequently and effectively with variousproject collaborators.Develop media products for use in online courses, self-paced modules, and websites including video,audio podcasts, and graphics.As appropriate, evaluate instructional effectiveness of programs, courses, and training products.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
