Summary:
The primary duties and responsibilities of the Technical Support Analyst are providing technical and administrative support to investigators, IRB members and staff via the IRB Help Desk, and assisting the IRB Systems Administrator in the testing and implementation of updates to current systems, and configuration of new systems.

Responsibilities:
Provide Help Desk support with IRB online applications, processes and issues. Primary point of contact for phone and email inquiries from system users seeking technical assistanceRespond in a timely manner to queries about IRB application processing, review status and general human subjects research questionsIdentify, research, document and resolve user issuesRecognize and escalate situations requiring urgent attentionFrequently communicate human subjects research compliance training requirements to investigators and study team members.Maintain current knowledge of training requirements for JH investigators and study team membersAssist with locating compliance training certificates in myLearning and updating eIRB with training datesProvide basic information on additional training available to system usersResponsible for general support for desktops, laptops and printers within the IRB office; assist with IRB meetings, including projection of documents and computer set up as needed. Provide necessary input to ensure the success of improvement of processes and development. Primarily focused on representation of end-user needs and feedback.Assist with training IRB staff, IRB members, and eIRB users on the use of eIRB as needed.Interpret operating procedures; exercise independent judgment in resolution of administrative issues and challenges. Must have strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Must have the ability and inclination to work as a team member, be very detailed oriented, and have the ability to adapt to a stressful work environment. Must be able to identify issues to communicate and coordinate between other departments to provide consistent and accurate information to contacts.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
