Mid Level Modeling and Simulation Engineer (Full-time)

Torch Technologies is seeking junior to mid level experienced engineers and scientist to fill immediate openings related to electro optical models and simulations and their integration and execution to include infrared sensors and emitters, radio frequency sensors and emitters, simulation integration, execution and required computational hardware requirements. Successful candidates must have at least a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Applied Math, Computer Science or related field with 5 to 10 years of experience. Masters Degree in same is a plus. A TS/SCI clearance is required.
Specific experience and interest in some of the following areas is required:
Optics
Image Processing
Software Development, Integration, and Implementation
C++, Python and similar programming languages
OpenCL and CUDA
Linux
The successful applicants will join a multi-disciplinary team of talented engineers and scientists supporting multiple programs. Additional tasks will include research and development of new algorithms to provide new and innovative methods for efficient and computationally meaningful analysis of output imagery & sensing.
This is a ground floor opportunity in the Baltimore, MD region with one of the top defense contractors in the country. Applicants must be able to perform independently with input with many subject matter experts located locally and other Torch locations. The applicant must have demonstrated the ability to communicate effectively both orally and with visual presentation aids. The successful applicant must have demonstrated both proficiency in customer relations and the ability to work independently assessing requirements and bringing solutions to the team. Demonstrated technical team leadership is a plus.
These positions require that the candidate be able to maintain security clearance in order to access classified information at the TS SCI level. Inability to maintain a security clearance will result in the candidate being ineligible for this position.
All positions require some infrequent travel. Some positions require substantial travel to support test events.
