What You Will Do:
Exciting position for someone who is looking to work across clinical platforms and all levels of lab staff; Oncologist, Hematology, etc. This is a Monday- Friday position with no scheduled or weekend or holidays!
We are looking for a strong skill set individual in cell differentiation and cell identification. Experience with bone marrow preferred.
Under the direction of the members of Pathology management and the Clinical Director, performs and develops testing for the Department of Pathology Clinical Laboratories, University of Maryland Medical Center.
Ensures that efficient and effective work processes and procedures are followed utilizing regulatory and safety requirements.
Performs patient testing as requested by clinicians and faculty within the Department of Pathology.
Serves as a technical resource for Hematology and Hematopathology.
What You Need to Be Successful:
Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology with ASCP certification or equivalent is required.
Five years of relevant experience is required. Specialty certification in hematology or Master's degree preferred.
A combination of post-graduate education and fewer than the required years of experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
