Job Scope
The Material Handler is responsible to ensure the receipt, storage and delivery of all materials into the facility are in accordance with the written procedures and accountable for cycle counting and physical inventory activities
II:
ResponsibilitesInteract with all Emergent departments as required to ensure efficient movement of materials through the facilityIII:
Level of Education, Experience & Skills
Must have strong attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks in a dynamic environment.
Excellent math and verbal skills.
Ability to use computer programs.
Forklift Certification is a must.
Ability to work in a team environment.
High School diploma or at least 1 year warehouse experience.
Quality Assurance experience not required but desirable.
Maintain access, appearance, safety and control of the warehouse including cold rooms, stability chambers, cabinets and freezers
Satisfy all stock requisitions in accordance with written procedures
Back-up for daily transaction update of the material resource planning database
Daily monitoring of chart recorders
Responsible for obtaining shipping authorization and actual shipment of product, samples and overnight letters
Ensure appropriate stock level of all shipping materials
Process materials as needed to be returned to vendor

Physical/Mental Requirements
Type/keyboard, visual acuity, stand, walk, sit, twist/turn, hand dexterity, sense of hearing. Use phone, fax, copier, and computer. Organize/coordinate, analyze/interpret, problem solve, plan, communicate, prepare written communications. Understand and respond to a diverse population. A large percentage of work time is spent on the floor or throughout the warehouse or at a desk at times. The work space is an open space and prone to noise and distractions. Safety is a priority.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
