Reports to: Director of Marketing

Summary: The Marketing Communications Manager is responsible for the organization's internal and external communications, reputation management, public relations and branding. This position works with internal departments to set these objectives and strategy for delivery.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

1) Oversees marketing communications as well as internal and external reputation management through the use of, but not limited to, intranet, website, digital media, video, and graphic design.

2) Ensures all marketing communications are coordinated, support marketing plan objectives and are an effective expenditure of resources.

3) Establishes and maintains a consistent corporate image throughout all product lines, social media, branding, promotional materials, and events/tradeshows.

4) Manages public relations for Company including the creation of effective press releases, media content, and press interviews to ensure target audiences are reached.

5) Develop strategic initiative to enhance Companys' local reputation. Build and lead internal team for implementation around exaction of plan, including awards submission, external network expansion and editorial coverage.

6) Manage and execute tradeshow promotional plans intended to maximize company exposure and produce sales leads including developing objectives and strategies for the overall effectiveness and execution of marketing events.

7) Assist in the overall growth of TIC Gums product lines especially Value-added and Innovative technologies via effective communication strategies to ensure increasing customer leads.

8) Creates materials for the introduction of new or existing products, and reviews material submitted by other departments.

9) Directs internal and external resources to design and implement marketing collateral in line with brand identity; ensures consistency across all communication media.

10) Oversees Company's internal and external digital media strategy and its effectiveness through channels including videos, online platforms, and podcasts.

11) Supervises and provides day-to-day management to assigned Communications department staff.

12) Stays abreast of current trends, market conditions, and technological advances through continued education.

13) Follows all company safety rules in performing job duties.

14) Performs other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY
Responsibilities:
Directly supervises assigned Communications Department staff. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include, but are not limited to, hiring and training employees, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Uses own initiative and exercises independent judgment.

EDUCATION and/or
Experience:
A bachelor's degree in a science or business related field is required with a master's of business administration (MBA) degree preferred. Advanced course-work in business, specifically marketing, sales, or advertising/public relations is desired. At least 10 years of experience in a sales or marketing capacity with a technical product industry experience is required. A food science or flavor industry background preferred.

Travel: Up to 30%
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
