Webmaster oversees all of the BDDS US website content in collaboration with the Corporate Web Team for consistency in brand and content appearance and functionality. This position works collaboratively with representatives of both US and WW marketing to ensure website content is updated and accurate on an ongoing basis. The position also works with the Corporate Web Team to implement page layout and branding that promote BD's professional image. The BDDS webmaster works with both web and SAP data sources in order to manage the digital online catalog and the position will serve as the lead for the BDDS division in migrating to a new CMS and serve as an advisor to global regional global BDDS offices.
Responsibilities
Responsible for providing support to BDDS web authors/product managers to establish and maintain their online presence on the BD internet, intranet and catalog.
Uses the Tridion content manager and BDOne content management tool and trains web authors to use these tools to make edits.
Migrates the existing BDDS web content into a new CMS: Tridion.
Assures that BDDS websites and other online marketing initiatives follow corporate guidelines and best practices relating to privacy, identity, trademark usage, copy approval process, etc.
Becomes an expert on the content and architecture of the BDDS websites.
Consults regularly with BDDS groups to advise/assist with updating and improving their websites. Help them prioritize/track/complete their projects.
Serves as BDDS's expert in the area of Search Engine Optimization and ensure that content of webpages is optimized for search.
Tracks and reports on website metrics using Webtrends. Use reports to analyze website performance and suggest improvements. Use Webtrends' capabilities to track marketing initiatives.
Assists product managers to update the BD online catalog.
Consults and interacts with Corporate Web Team concerning BDDS web projects.
Tracks and analyzes web traffic statistics for periodic reporting and review of content effectiveness.
Checks hyperlinks regularly to insure validity.
Develops and maintains intuitive, user-friendly and technically efficient web pages.
Updates site content and structure in coordination with Marketing and other key departments.
Troubleshoots website operation, tracks site usage statistics and monitors performance.
Designs and prepares elements/graphic images for the web.
Locates and debugs website issues that arise with the performance of the website.
Bachelor's degree preferred. Must have experience and training in computer science, information technology, web communications, or digital media.
Minimum of three (3) years experience working with content management systems, working in an interactive online development environment
Preferred skillsets: graphic design capabilities (Adobe InDesign).
Ability to work collaboratively to develop and implement long-term web strategies
Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
Attention to detail and multitasking.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
