Responsible for full life cycle application development on both Windows and Linux platforms in a small team environment using a variety of software languages and protocols, including C/C++, HTML, SQL, Python, and Javascript. Development involves both front-end GUI applications and back-end application integration with databases and existing systems. Must be able to work independently. Occasional travel may be required.
Design relational databases, maintenance and integration with C/C+
applications. Develop web technology products with CGI, JavaScript, HTML, Ajax, and CSS. Develop software for Windows, using Win32, MFC, and Visual Studio. Use version control technologies such as CVS or SVN. Perform low level network programming (threads, sockets, etc.).Design user interfaces.
Secret Clearance Required (Must be clearable to TS/SCI++)
Experience Preferred:
3-5 years experience in full life cycle application development in C/C+
in a Linux environment.
3-5 years experience with more than one of the following: CGI, JavaScript, HTML, Ajax, SQL, Python or CSS
3-5 years experience network programming
Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.
Unique/Additional Requirements:
Experience in the Intelligence Community working with and across different agencies and elements desired
Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must be able to authoritatively present material to technical personnel and management.
Ability to work and collaborate with staff and team members
Proficiency with MS Office tool suite - Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Most work will be done at a desk or computer.
General Office environment. The work environment is fast-paced and sometimes involves extreme deadline pressures. The nature of the work requires a high degree of teamwork and cooperation with other members of the staff as well as individuals across the Company and Customers.
General office equipment including PC/laptop, Fax, Copiers, Shredder, Printers, Telephone, and other miscellaneous office equipment.
Attendance is critical at all times. Needs to be available to work overtime during critical peaks and be available to meet last minute requests for overtime should the situation occur.
Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others
Must put forward a professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation
