Role
Summary:
Presales Architects Forward! are the primary technical resource for the field sales force. PA-F''s are responsible for actively driving and managing the solution evaluation stage of the sales process, working in conjunction with the sales team as the key technical advisor and product advocate for our products. The PA-F must be able to articulate technology value propositions and product positioning to both business and technical users. The PA-F should be able to define configurations, sizing and pricing of the solution based on the client needs. They must be able to identify all technical issues of assigned accounts to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process. They must be able to establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle.

Responsibilities:
The PA-F will collaborate with sales, engineering, solutions & portfolio and others to develop successful sales strategies. Duties of the PA-F will include:
- Technical discovery conversations, business discovery conversations, solution demonstrations to both technical and executive audiences, custom demonstration creation, proof of concept delivery, RFI and RFP responses, and communication with post-sales implementation resources.
- Utilizing the knowledge of the Forward Fabric solution. PA-F''s deliver sales messaging, competitive solution differentiation, and business and economic value messaging.
- Delivering technical presentations that are compelling, relevant, simple, appealing, and memorable for each particular audience.
- Defining configuration, sizing and pricing of the solution for client requirements and bids
- Supporting knowledge sharing and revenue pipeline development activities.
- Validation of sales messaging
- Supporting other marketing activities such as cultivating customer references, influencing competitive messaging, and territory white space analysis is expected
- Participating in internal community of practice groups, mentor peers, and support one-to-many demand generation activities, industry conferences, and web marketing demonstrations.
Qualifications:
- 10
years of experience in sales/support and/or technical consulting with significant exposure to clients across a variety of industries
- Undergraduate degree in Business, Marketing, IT discipline and/or related field
- Able to determine scenarios based on customer situations including data center Infrastructure consolidation, Unix (AIX, Solaris, HP-UX) to Linux migrations, ERP (such as SAP), HANA, Big Data/Hadoop, Private Cloud infrastructure implementations
- Experience and hand on skills for configuration, sizing, pricing and ordering of integrated infrastructure (hardware plus system software)
- Ability to define and deliver technical and economic value propositions to meet strategic business objectives and requirements of clients
- Domain specific experience in some or all of the following areas would be plus:
- Experience in Unix to Linux application and script migration, with the ability to work with an organization in planning and designing an application migration strategy
- Experience sizing, installing, configuring and tuning ERP applications (i.e. SAP - Business Warehouse, Solution Manager). Hands on skills with ERP applications running on Unix (Solaris, AIX, HPUX one or all) and knowledge of ERP applications installation on Linux and Windows.
- Experience in defining and deploying infrastructure for structured and unstructured data (i.e. Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, Sybase, Hadoop and HANA).
