Responsible for the administration and support of all z/OS operating system implementations.
May provide or oversee technical support for all requirements in the planning, coordination, programming, and implementation of releases, upgrades, or changes to OS/390 operating system software, transaction monitors as well as the range of products and productivity tools that support the testing and production environments relating to OS/390 computing.
Leads capacity planning, workload modeling, and prediction; ensures systems maintenance of OS/390 and all its related systems; and provides high-level support for the OS environment.
Job Qualifications
Requires BA/BS Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology; 5 - 8 years directly related professional experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Leads work that is varied and that may be difficult in character, but usually involves significant responsibility.Expert evaluation, originality or ingenuity is required. Reports directly to middle management.
