Job Description:
WBAL, Hearst Television's NBC affiliate in Baltimore, MD has an opening for an IT Support Specialist. The IT Support Specialist will design, develop, support, and manage computer hardware and software and information networks. This position will perform day-to-day maintenance and carry out upkeep of computers and network infrastructure and printers and provide user support.

o Work closely with broadcast engineers (both radio and television) to support critical on-air systems.
o Provide user support in a windows workstation environment for custom and standard software applications.
o Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot newsroom automation systems.
o Troubleshoot all systems-related issues including password administration, network access, printing problems, and general assistance with a variety of software and hardware related issues.
o Assist users with installing and using new software and features.
o Apply software and OS upgrades and perform back-ups.
o Support Cisco network infrastructure.
Requirements:Qualification Requirements:
o A minimum of three years' experience in the information technology industry or related field.
o Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and MS Window products, Linux, Active Directory, video codecs, and IP layers.
o Cisco or Microsoft certification a plus.
o Good troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
o Ability to repair equipment down to the circuit level.
o Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, work on rooftops and in confined spaces.
Education:Education:
o Associates degree or better in Information Technology.
