Summary:An E02 Senior Analyst is responsible for all aspects of designing, developing, deploying and maintaining applications on multiple types of computer hardware and operating systems at Exelon and affiliate companies. This position supports several business areas including those that include the following functions:Support of the Transmission and Distribution SCADA systems, and related ancillary applications, in support of BGEs operations business.Reports To E04 Manager in associated department.Primary Duties and
Responsibilities: Must have 3-5 years of knowledge and experience with SCADA systems and related data interfaces (or equivalent combination of education and work experience).Work within and administer many different with database environments, such as MS SQL or Oracle.Utilize programming languages such as C/C+
and to create applications as necessary for support of BGE operations.Adhere to the NERC Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) standards within the SCADA environments.Perform project management tasks, which includes maintaining budget, schedule, cross-team resources, risks, and closely with internal clients and other team members to gather information, analyze business processes and information systems. Will provide guidance to less experienced personnel to provide support, and develop and confirm project workable, cost-effective solutions to business problems to satisfy client requirements. May assist less experienced personnel.Job Specifications:Knowledge:Demonstrated understanding of concepts, practices and procedures in a transmission and distribution SCADA environment.Demonstrated understanding of business unit needs to provide optimal IT support within the SCADA Support develops current knowledge of and compliance with Exelon IT preferred technologies and methodologies, corporate policies, technology standards, product standards, version standards, change management and project management standards and their possible application in the organization.Enhances technical and professional knowledge and skills through the use of trade journals, seminars, courses, etcKnowledge of / experience with application development languages, utilities, life cycle methodology and monitoring tools.Knowledge of / experience with relational and/or object oriented databases.System Administration experience within an Unix/AIX operating system and/or Windows 7 and Server 2008 R2.Skills/Abilities:(Typical skills and abilities may include the following:)Programming skills in .NET, C/C++, and SQL.Database design and programming skills.Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines while providing complete and accurate work product.Ability to be flexible and adaptable while responding to the changing business environment and demandsAbility to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with team members and managers, including presenting to project team and clients.
