PB's Baltimore, Maryland Office has an immediate opening for an Assistant Traffic Engineer for our Baltimore Office. Work responsibilities may include design of traffic control devices in the areas of signing, pavement markings, signals, lighting, maintenance of traffic and ITS design. Work will also include traffic operations and capacity analysis, signal optimization, corridor studies and the use of traffic simulation modeling. Registration as an EIT is required (or have the ability to obtain certification within 1 year). Successful candidate will work as part of a dynamic organization on the delivery of projects and expanding our practice throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.
Job Requirements
This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. Experience in a related engineering position is preferred as well as hands-on experience with CADD software, including the most recent version of Microstation and traffic engineering software such as HCS+, Synchro/Sim Traffic and Vissim. Strong communications skills and the ability to work on a team and perform projects with guidance and mentoring required.
