Post-doctoral fellowship in understanding Alzheimer's disease pathogen The National Institute on Aging (NIA), a major research component of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the Department of Health and Human

(HHS), is recruiting postdoctoral fellows with interests in Alzheimer's disease (AD) and/or age-associated memory impairment (AAMI) in the Unit of Clinical and Translational Neuroscience, within the Laboratory of Behavioral Neuroscience. This research represents an exciting new initiative within the NIA intramural research program (IRP) to enhance our understanding of disease mechanisms underlying risk factors for AD/AAMI, discover biologically relevant biomarkers that accurately reflect neuropathology and identify potential targets for effective disease modification/intervention. These studies combine multimodal neuroimaging methods to delineate changes in brain structure/function associated with both genetic and environmental risk factors for AD/AAMI (for eg: Effect of complement CR1 on brain amyloid burden during aging and its modification by APOE genotype.
