Assignments depend on the level of training completed.
This position is a training role for the Sterile Processing Technician position Principal Responsibilities and Tasks The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.

Learns under the guidance of trained professionals the roles of Sterile Processing Technician.
Develops, demonstrates, and articulates an understanding of the sterile environment including but not limited to sterilization techniques, implementation of aseptic technique, instrument handling, supply chain management, and equipment setup.
Develops and articulates an understanding of the roles and responsibilities of the personnel working in Perioperative Services.
Develops, demonstrates, and articulates competency in infection prevention practices.
Participates in work development training to:
Develops and demonstrates communication skills to effectively communicate with all customers to render service, manage conflict and to resolve problems.
Refers difficult issues to the Supervisor for resolution.
Develops, demonstrates, and articulates computer skills and knowledge related to Perioperative information systems.
Develops, demonstrates and articulates time management skills.
Achieves basic competence in each of the following roles through on the job training and didactic education:
Decontamination Prep and Pack/Assembly Sterilization Methods Sterile Storage and Distribution HLD Processes and Flexible/Rigid Endoscope Reprocessing Qualifications Education and Experience High School diploma or equivalent (GED is required).
Prefer to be currently enrolled in, accepted into, or has completed an approved Sterile Processing training program.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to learn and apply various patient care techniques, such as, routine patient care practice, aseptic technique, fire and safety, and infection prevention.
Highly effective verbal communication and interpersonal skills are required to work with patients, visitors, and other healthcare team members successfully to foster optimal quality of patient care.
Effective listening skills are required in order to follow oral instructions properly.
Ability to follow written instructions is required.
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintains courteous and effective relationships with patients, visitors, co-workers, and other members of the health care team.
Demonstrates sensitivity and awareness to the needs of patients, visitors and co-workers.
Ability to attend all mandatory hospital and department in-service training including CPR and safety training, annually.
Patient Safety Ensures patient safety in the performance of job functions and through participation in hospital, department or unit patient safety initiatives.
Takes action to correct observed risks to patient safety Reports adverse events and near misses to appropriate management authority.
Identifies possible risks in processes, procedures, devices and communicates the same to those in charge Additional Information.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
