Job DescriptionOverviewUnder direct supervision, performs timely analysis on discharged inpatient, same day surgery, emergency room, or any other patient record for completeness according to standards established by the Medical Staff Rules and Regulations, outside regulatory agencies and departmental procedures.
Key ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibility 1:
Performs daily analysis on appropriate patient records.
Key Responsibility 2:
Validates the correct assignment of the deficiency to the provider.
Analyzes the patient's medical record to ensure that the correct deficiency and provider have been identified.
If needed makes corrections and addresses any deficiencies with support from the provider.
QualificationsQualificationsEducation High School Diploma or GEDExperience Minimum of 1 year previous experience in a hospital Health Information Management DepartmentPreferredEducation Associate Degree in HIM or related fieldExperience Two years previous experience in a hospital Health Information Management Department with additional experience in quality analysis or similar functionAdditional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
