The primary job of the cannabis trimmer is to harvest dry marijuana plants by cutting the flowers of the plants from their stems.
They also might be responsible for weighing, labeling and packaging the trimmed buds.
Cannabis trimmers must adhere to local and state laws and regulations related to marijuana production and keep up to date on changes to those laws and regulations.
Bud Trimmer Required Skills:
Cannabis bud trimmers must be precise and dexterous in their trimming so as not to waste any of the marijuana plant, and they must maintain a clean and organized work environment to avoid contaminating their product.
They also must be able to accurately weigh the trimmed buds, as well as identify various marijuana strains, so as not to cheat their employer or customers.
Additionally, due to the tedious nature of the job, cannabis bud trimmers must be able to sit and focus for long periods of time.
There is no required education for cannabis bud trimmers.
However, applicants must pass a rigorous background check, be 21 years or older and free of criminal offenses.
This is an entry-level position that often serves as a foot in the door for higher-level jobs in the marijuana industry, such as cultivator or even grow master Production Associate:
The Production Associate is responsible for meeting production schedules and in complying with all applicable local and state laws and regulations.
These responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to, the following:

Comply with all applicable government regulations and Company policies and procedures, including sanitation, security, workplace safety, confidentiality, and seed-to-sale software requirements, among others.
2.
Maintain a positive, collaborative and respectful attitude in all tasks.
3.
Participate in upfront and ongoing training in order to master skills needed to complete relevant tasks, including especially plant health monitoring.
4.
Identify and communicate issues and assist in troubleshooting, identifying potential solutions, and in implementing and monitoring corrective actions.
5.
Perform various tasks related to the production of cannabis products, including the cultivation of cannabis plants, in order to meet production schedules.
These tasks may include, but are not limited to; Installing, cleaning, maintaining and troubleshooting for all equipment and facilities; Media preparation; Propagation through seeds, clones and tissue culture; Management of supplemental lighting; Transplanting; Feeding and flushing plant nutrients and water (i.
e.
, fertigation); Plant monitoring and maintenance, including defoliation, super cropping, and topping; Foliar and preventative sprays and other pest management; Harvesting, drying, curing and trimming; Producing extractions and infusions; Packaging; Waste disposal; Inventory management.

Help prepare for audits and, as needed, assist state and local governmental auditors and law enforcement with their audits.
7.
Track data to comply with applicable rules and to support management decision-making.
8.
Contribute ideas to help improve Company's choices for ingredients, equipment and methodologies, policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and training materials.
9.
Perform the following physical tasks:
Stand and walk for extended periods of time; Bend, squat and stoop, twist and bend the neck and waist and reach above and below shoulder height to grasp objects; Bend and lift loads of up to one hundred (100) lbs; and Use hands for grasping, pushing, pulling and fine manipulation; 10.
Assist with any other tasks or responsibilities that are assigned to you.
