This is your chance to join our team - help us to design the infrastructure and buildings that improve the world!We are seeking qualified Construction Managers Managers to support the Cecil County, MD region on large interstate construction project assignments for the Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT).Qualifications/Requirements:

Years of relevant transportation inspection experience in heavy highway, bridge and roadway construction with all accompanying certifications High School degree or State Equivalency certificate required Registered PE in the state of MD and/or a certified CCM preferred Must have demonstrated construction inspection experience with assorted interstate, roadway, bridge, storm drainage, TMDL and building facility contracts involving MDOT SHA construction standards and specifications Must have experience with OOC construction inspection contract documentation including preparing Inspector Daily Reports (IDRs), Force Account Records, reconciling Contractor Monthly Invoicing and providing detailed weekly progress reports related to both project progress and budget Must also have (or obtain) all applicable MARTCP certificates, a current SHA Temporary Traffic Control Manager's Training Course Card (or secure the same prior to work assignment) as well as MDE RPC Card and SHA E&S Yellow Card Must complete OSHA 10 hour training (training paid by WRA) Must have a valid driver's license, good driving record and personal vehicle for travel to and from assigned construction sites Must have good communication skills Must have ability to read/interpret plans and specifications Must have good writing and drawing skills necessary to complete inspection reports and sketch books Basic computer skills (Word & Excel) are desirable as well as experience with using computer laptops or field tablets for preparing electronic IDRs and photographic documentation Must be willing to work nights and overtime, when required by the project assignmentThis position may require periodic in-state overnight travel
