The Accounts Payable Specialist at McClung-Logan Equipment is responsible for the financial processing of transactions for an organization. They will be responsible for processing and maintaining accounts payable records, reconciling vendor statements, and ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors.Essential Job Functions:
AP entries (entails imaging invoices, entering invoice data, manual coding) Ensure that all invoices are coded correctly and approved. Facilitate weekly payment runs (ACH, paper checks) New vendor processing Electronic funds transfer processing Manage use tax. Participate in maintaining the integrity of AP subledger content. Serve as Assistant Program Admin for company credit cards and expense reporting program. Reconcile vendor statements. Record wires and auto-debits used to pay expenses. Other job duties and projects as assigned. Education and/or
Experience:
Intermediate level computer skills (MS Office products, Various AP accounting software) General understanding of accounting principals 3-5 years of experience in Accounts Payable with general knowledge of AP best practices Experience in a Purchase Order based business preferred. Physical Demands:
Standing, walking, talking, sitting, and use of hands. This job mostly involves sitting or standing, but there may be occasional tasks that involve lifting or moving objects weighing up to 25 pounds.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
