This is a hybrid, 6-month contract in Baltimore, MD. You will focus on application software development in the loan originations domain. The ideal candidate should possess a profound understanding of credit reporting, automated bill payment solutions, and a demonstrated ability to interpret complex data structures while navigating databases. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the development team can produce seamless integration and performance of our loan origination systems.
Responsibilities:
Requirements Analysis:
Collaborate with business stakeholders and users to gather and understand requirements for loan origination software applications. Translate business needs into technical specifications ensuring alignment with industry best practices. Technical Expertise:
Demonstrate a deep understanding of credit reporting mechanisms and automated bill payment solutions. Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in loan origination and financial software development. Database Analysis:
Proficiently navigate and query databases using SQL to extract and analyze relevant data. Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security in alignment with regulatory requirements. Collaboration/Communication:
Organize knowledge in collaboration tools (i.e. wiki s) through creative easy to navigate constructs. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA engineers, and business analysts, to facilitate effective communication and collaboration. Provide technical support and expertise during the software development life cycle. Ownership of the user story creation process from inception to development ready. Problem Solving:
Identify and troubleshoot technical issues related to loan origination systems promptly. Propose and implement effective solutions to optimize system performance and user experience. Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in information systems, technical communications, or related discipline. 5
years of experience in credit reporting, automated bill payment solutions, and loan origination processes. Proven experience in technical analysis and support for application software development in the financial sector. Able to convey complex concepts in writing using clear and concise language. Able to summarize and communicate with impact. Ability to understand system architecture sufficiently to produce clear and accurate technical documentation. Strong proficiency in navigating databases and writing SQL queries. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams. Organized and passionate about enabling teams and curating knowledge in collaboration tools (i.e. wiki s) and creating easy to navigate constructs. Strong bias for action and learning by doing mindset. Thrives working in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with regulatory requirements in the financial sector. Experience with automated testing and quality assurance processes. Knowledge of agile development methodologies.
