Job DescriptionAECOM is seeking a motivated and experienced Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our expanding water engineering practice.
The selected candidate will become part of an established water engineering practice working on prominent wet weather remediation programs, water and wastewater treatment, sewer collection, potable water distribution and storage, and pumping station projects in the Greater Maryland Metropolitan area.
Responsibilities include:
Candidate will contribute to a team focused on planning, design, and construction management of engineering projects for sanitary sewer collection systems (including large diameter pipe,) pumping stations, lift stations, force mains, interceptors, water distribution systems, green infrastructure, reservoirs, as well as water/wastewater treatment plants.
Additional responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:
Performs specific and moderate portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments.
Identifies discrepancies in results.
May provides guidance to entry level engineers.
Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision.
Performs all the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works with minimal supervision.
Performance at this level requires developmental experience in a professional position.
QualificationsMinimum Requirements BS Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline 2 years of related experience Experience developing engineering deliverables such as engineering reports, design drawings, technical specifications, permits, and other detailed engineering deliverables.
Demonstrated technical skills and experience working on storm water, water, wastewater, or flood protection/resilience projects.
Preferred Qualifications Engineering Intern Certification 4
