DutiesMajor Duties May Include:
Carpentry:
Measures, cuts, constructs, installs, repairs and modifies wood, composite and wood substitute items where specific fit and accuracy are within allowable limits to produce a serviceable product.
Finished appearance of work products is not the primary consideration at this grade level.
They apply a general knowledge of wood, composite materials, wood substitutes, and woodworking techniques, as well as basic shop mathematics to plan, measure, and lay out materials according to dimensional requirements and specifications.
Workers at this level typically follow specific instructions and are aided through the use of templates, or preplanned, or precut materials.
Painting:
Performs standard coating methods such as brushing, rolling, and spraying.
Prepares surfaces to be painted by sanding and wire brushing; and thin, stir, and mix coating materials according to specific directions.
Heating and cooling:
Maintains heating and cooling systems for the Agency buildings and residences assessing repair needs and repairing such systems.
Plumbing:
Removes, cleans, replaces, packs and seals defective parts of utility, supply and disposal systems; and also hooks up to install systems such as water heaters, disposal units and faucets.
The incumbent works under the guidance of the supervisor and/or work leader.
The supervisor assigns work orally or through work orders.
Minimum direct supervision is received and incumbent determines the extent of repairs needed and exercises judgment in selecting the methods, techniques, and procedures to use in completing assignments.
The incumbent makes complete and difficultdeterminations of materials and methods to be employed.
The incumbent is expected to recognize and refer situations or problems which require higher level guidance.
A high degree of precision is required in all areas of work.
Guides for proper completion of assignments include work orders, oral instructions, blueprints, sketches, specifications, and accepted trade practices and standards.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster.
