The Bus Aide assists in providing safe transportation to help students enjoy the transition to & from school.
To accomplish these tasks, the Bus Aide works closely with the staff and administration of the student's school.
Bus Aides will provide supervision and oversight to special education student while getting on, riding and getting off the bus to and from the school site.
Successful Candidate must:
Must own a vehicle to reach the bus/school origination site Must available for morning shift starting at 5:
45am Assist bus drivers in supervising students Have high school diploma or GED equivalent Complete Background Check and Drug screening PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Medium Work:
Exerting twenty (20) to fifty (50) pounds of force occasionally, or ten (10) to fifteen (15) pounds of force frequently, or greater than negligible up to ten (10) pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Physical demands are in excess of those for Light Work.
While performing the duties of this job, some standing, walking, sitting, bending and carrying of light items such as books and papers is required.
Requires prolonged sitting; requires stooping, kneeling, bending, turning, reaching, climbing and balancing; must work in noisy and crowded environments, with numerous interruptions; can work in and around dust, fumes and odors; may require extensive travel hours-Prior experience is a plus! Spanish speaking & sign language a plus! Full-time and weekly pay.
