Summary:
With guidance from the Facilities Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician supports personnel of Chase Brexton Health Care at all locations through maintenance of building and individual departments to keep the physical environment clean, organized and safe.
This position requires heavy lifting at times, up to 50-100 lbs of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10-20 lbs.

MAJOR DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Facilities Maintain company facilities, which include, but not limited to, electrical, plumbing and painting/wallpaper repairs (such as replacing lights, ballasts, pipes, faucets, water fountains, sinks and toilets).
Repair broken furniture, repair/replace doors, doorknobs, locks/keys, carpet/floor tile.
Repair/replace tissue holders, paper dispensers, soap dispensers, hang pictures, bulletin boards, white boards, flag systems, and medical equipment.
Test emergency exit door alarms, emergency lights, exit lights, and fire extinguishers for proper operation and maintain monthly testing and repair reports.
Perform tasks to complete work order requests as assigned.
Relocate employees and their belongings, move furniture and computer equipment, copiers, etc.
Pick up recycling and shredding.
Hang pictures, assemble and build shelving, assemble lockers and mail carts, etc.
Installation and maintenance of office furniture and systems cubicles by constructing cubicle and installing all components including file cabinets, drawers, locks, lock cylinders, electrical whips and sockets.
Maintain cleanliness and grooming of outside sidewalk, terrace, loading dock areas and parking garage surrounding facilities at 1111 North Charles Street buildings and other properties leased or owned by the company (including care of outside plants, weeds, and snow removal), which may also include picking up trash, sweeping curb and dumpster areas and maintaining landscaping beds and other areas on the property and in the alley.
General Housekeeping for areas that the cleaning contractor is not responsible for, including the Facilities storage areas, the boiler room, mechanical rooms, penthouse, roof top, loading docks, etc.
Responsible for 24-hour emergency maintenance service as scheduled.
Assist with scheduling and monitoring of all work being performed by outside contractors.
Serve as back-up to the Facilities Support Specialist by sorting and delivering mail and packages when assistance is needed, or during absence/vacation.
Workplace Computer and Equipment Use of a computer to obtain job assignments.
Perform other duties as assigned by Facilities Supervisor.
EDUCATION AND/OR
Experience:
Required:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
Desired:
Technical training.
Knowledge and ability to use hand tools and power equipment.
3-5 years experience in Building Maintenance with experience in electrical, plumbing and painting.
Required:
3-5 years of basic maintenance.
Perform other duties as assigned by Facilities Supervisor.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
