The University of Maryland Medical Center is seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) with a desire to join our premier multidisciplinary team in our Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Comprehensive Cancer Center Located at the University of Maryland Medical Center (UMMC) in downtown Baltimore near the Inner Harbor and Camden Yards; you won't find a more vibrant place to work!The Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Comprehensive Cancer Center Hematology and Medical Oncology unit consists of two 16 bed inpatient units focusing on the care of hematology and medical oncology patients.
Care provided includes a wide range of acuity levels of patients on the cancer care continuum.
Care ranges from initial diagnosis and treatment, disease-related symptom management and pain control, long-term survivorship, or end of life.
What You Will Do:
We are seeking Registered Nurses (RN) who will be competent in the skills/knowledge required and fully participate in unit governance.
He/she will practice and adhere to the guidelines specified in the UMMC Professional Nurse Job Charter.
Independently provides and coordinates care provided to patients within a clinical specialty.
Serves as a fully effective and participative member of the multidisciplinary patient care services team.
We are a close-knit unit that works as a team.
Nurses are viewed as colleagues in our partnership with the medical team with a multi-discipline approach to care.
This includes providing integrated care working with the physicians, social workers, pharmacists, and nurse practitioners.
Our patient ratio during the day shift is 3:
