Operations Manager

The Operations Manager is responsible for leading the activities of the compounding, packaging and scheduling departments.
Responsible for safety, quality, customer service, efficiency, cost, and maintaining positive employee relations.
Directly responsible for 150
Associates in a 24 x 7 operation.
Responsibilities Continuous Improvement/Change Management Establish and monitor key metrics in compounding, packaging and scheduling.
Analyze data, identify trends, establish goals and drive change to ensure continuous improvement.
Develop sustainable processes to achieve goals.
Ensure optimal scheduling and utilization of resources.
Use lean & 6 Sigma principles to demonstrate complete ownership of the MS168 plant deliverables in the continuous improvement process and reduce waste throughout operations.
Safety Assist Plant Manager and Peer Managers in the continued development of our behavioral based safety culture.
Be a continuous safety leader.
Instill continuous improvement in safely results.
Housekeeping Establish appropriate housekeeping standards, procedures, and associated practices to maintain a professional, neat, and safe facility.
Instill continuous improvement and excellence in facility housekeeping practices.
Quality Work with peer managers to achieve world-class quality standards, procedures, and associated practices to ensure only the highest quality products are produced.
Team Building/Leadership Development Hire, train, develop, and evaluate leadership staff.
Identify strengths and improvement needs of supervisors and work group leaders; provide coaching and appropriate training opportunities.
Support leadership team in taking corrective action as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with company HR policy, to consistently enforce company policies and standards.
Plant Leadership Maintain strong lines of communication with the Plant Manager on an ongoing basis.
Work effectively with peer managers to achieve plant goals.
Be approachable and professional with all associates and subordinates.
Provide appropriate monthly operations and budget reports as required.
Participate in strategic planning, annual budget process, and annual physical inventory process as needed.
Major Projects Support plant leadership team in execution of major projects, including plant layout changes, installation of capital equipment, major repairs, etc.
Perform miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned and required to support business objectives.
Requirements 5
years of relevant experience in relevant industry.
Bachelors in business, Engineering or related field Lean/ Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma, 5-S, Kepner Tregoe (or other problem-solving experience).
Green Belt or Black belt certification with the understanding of the Tier Meeting process, metrics around Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery.
