Sr Business Analyst (Trading Execution)LOCATION:
Baltimore, MD (Hybrid - Must be onsite day 1)DESCRIPTION:
Compass Pointe has partnered with a global financial company in the Baltimore, MD area that is looking for a Sr Business Analyst working on their trading execution team.
You will perform the analysis, design, implementation, modification, testing and daily technology/functional support of all applications.
TOP REQUIREMENTS:
- SQL - basic SQL queries.
- Gathering requirements and working with C-Level executives and Traders.
- Manual Testing - this resource will be specifically testing OMS/EMS platforms.
- Previous financial experience.
Responsibilities:
oWorks with key stakeholders within all business functions to align technology solutions with business strategies.
oGathers requirements from business units and translates those to programmers and developers.
oWill perform manual testing - will be specifically testing OMS/EMS platforms.
oPrepares cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses to aid in decisions on system implementation.
oDemonstrates an informed knowledge of business functions to resolve problems and capitalize on improvement opportunities.
oSupports one or more highly complex business processes.
oServes as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs.
REQUIREMENTS:
oBachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required.
oHands on experience with the OMS/EMS platforms.
For example, you need to make changes within the platform and push those out to production.
working with OMS or EMS/Execution Management Systems such as (Charles River, Portware, TradeWeb, Bloomberg, MarketAxess).
oGather requirements and working with C-Level executives and Traders.
oPrevious experience working for a financial institution.
oExperience with SQL and SQL queries.
oExperience testing within the platform vs general requirements gathering and documentation.
oBasic knowledge of programming languages in order to comprehend reading code and basic functions.
oProject management skills in order to handle diverse projects, often times simultaneously, and meet aggressive deadlines.
oAbility to analyze complex situations and problems and do the necessary research using multiple sources of information to arrive at innovative solutions.
