Intern - Business Process Consultant

Overview:
Primarily responsible for the development of business process related solutions for clients.
Viewed by customers as a consultant.
This individual is expected to analyze business processes and/or problems, define stakeholder needs, determine a strategy, develop a plan/proposal, deliver and maintain the business process related solutions.
These solutions generally lead to internal processes or functions being modified for improved efficiency and effectiveness.
They will build a strong and effective working relationship with internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
The Intern - Business Process Consultant actively participates in multiple programs.
This includes, but is not limited to:
Cross-functional improvement initiatives from project initiation & planning, execution, monitoring / control to project closure.
This includes supporting communication within the project teams and status updates on actions and deliverables to leadership.
Assist with design, implementation and distribution of reporting, analytic models and key financial indicators, needed to support desired business outcomes.
This includes interpreting financial and operational data and transferring that data into meaningful reporting and recommendations, that can be used to assess business and make corrective actions, as required.
Liaison with other organizations such as Sales, R&D, HR, Finance, Accounting, 3 rd Party Vendors, etc to ensure business systems and their interrelationships consistently reflect the business needs as well as ensuring data integrity.
Reviewing and assessing industry best practices, benchmarks or trends, in an effort, to identify areas of improvement or alignment with the overall Professional Services industry.
Coordinates with internal and external software development and release teams to ensure intake and delivery commitments for each WEX release.
Required Skills:
Pursuing Bachelor's degree in MIS, Business Administration, Program Management or like majors.
Strong analytical skills and financial acumen.
A natural problem-solver with the ability to ideate well with others to develop new, smart, and sustainable processes and practices Excellent verbal and written functional / technical communication skills.
Proactive advocate of change by drawing attention to trends and issues.
Equally comfortable working independently and collaboratively-and can work effectively in person and virtually Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact within and across all levels in the organization.

Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role.
Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package.
Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan.
Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan.
