Summary:
Provides security services for Adult High School, property located at 222 East Redwood Street and other assigned locations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES &
Responsibilities:
Provides security coverage for the Excel Center location or other assigned location Carries company cell phone while at work so work extension can be transferred during rounds Greets visitors and directs them to appropriate location Actively deescalates incidents and maintains a calm environment even in stressful situations Actively minimizes liability and risk to the company Observes individuals departing premises to guard against theft of company property Monitors CCTV in Excel Center and other assign locations Identifies safety issues at locations and notifies location management of issues in a timely manner; Notates in daily reporting.
Accurately, timely, and honestly documents events and interactions contemporaneously with detail Partners with Excel Center Director on Security matters.
Manages the access control system for Excel Center and keeps current.
Issues identification cards for Faculty and Students.
Maintains confidentiality and represents the company in a professional manner by keeping the company's interest at the forefront Reports all investigative matters to Loss Prevention & Systems Manager or in their absence to the Director Loss Prevention Assist Management in maintaining logs for such things as panic buttons, keys, etc.
Conducts Facility Inspection Report (FIR) audits via ThinkLP Platform Achieves annual goals as defined in review and business objectives.
Actively maintains working knowledge of company policies and procedures by utilizing ADP and responds to environment per policies.
Seeks out developmental opportunities and/or educational training and demonstrates ability to apply new training.
Notifies Management when work systems fail or need repair.
Records all security related activities and maintains reports, records, evidence, and all other necessary information pertinent to job function and utilizes ThinkLP Platform Represents the company in court hearings, as directed.
EDUCATION AND/OR
Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent preferred One year security officer experience required Bilingual preferred (Spanish/English) Must have intermediate computer skills CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Driver's license preferred.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
Travel is defined as travel to all areas within Goodwill's territory (Cecil, Harford, Baltimore, Howard, and Anne Arundel Counties, Baltimore City and the entire Eastern Shore of Maryland).
In some cases, long-distance travel, including overnights may be required but is typically planned in advance.
In some cases, travel may be unplanned.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
