The Opportunity:
Our Remote and Assistive Technology Specialists are always on the go, helping people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) find and use remote support and assistive technologies that make life more independent.
They partner with self-advocates, families, local state agencies, caseworkers, schools, and employers to spread the word about the amazing benefits of technology.
Our Remote and Assistive Technology Specialists acquire various skills that enable them to properly set up, install, and troubleshoot a range of assistive technologies, telecommunication devices, computer software and applications; and also generate comprehensive, detailed reports, assessment findings, training services and price quotations for reasonable accommodations and assistive technology.
Responsibilities:
Provide instruction and training on remote and assistive technology devices and services.
Coordinate and conduct assessments to determine the best remote support and assistive technology for people with disabilities.
Assist participants with resolving technical problems over the phone and during in-person site visits.
Design and manage the set-up and installation of demo homes for participants to visit and try out assistive technology devices.
Coordinate and conduct device demonstrations and demo lab tours.
Configure, install, uninstall, and troubleshoot a variety of assistive technologies, telecommunication devices, computer software and applications.
Coordinate and manage the delivery of remote supports monitoring services by Remote Supports Professionals and back-up staff.
Develop and implement customer engagement and outreach strategies to educate the disability community about Remote Supports and Assistive Technology services.
Acquire new contracts and customers for remote supports and assistive technology services from existing and prospective participants, self-advocates, families, case workers, and service providers.
Prepare comprehensive, detailed reports, assessment findings, training services as well as price quotations and proposals.
Maintain record keeping system for project related activities.
Participate in technology-related conferences and workshops.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
