Summary:
The Facilities Supervisor plans, schedules, supervises, monitors, and participates in the day-to-day general maintenance and repair of the Baltimore Horseshoe Casino.
She/he works with Casino vehicles, grounds, and equipment; supervises, and monitors all contracted maintenance services; ensures all equipment remains in proper working order and compliance with standard operating procedures and safety standards; participate in more difficult repair work; maintains an inventory of all property and administers a budget.
KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:
Moves throughout the facility for random and regular facility inspections, member interactions and supervision of staff to ensure safety and welfare of users as well as the building.
Knowledge of the methods, materials, tools, and practices used in the plumbing, construction, HVAC, Carpentry, building, electrical, or mechanical trades.
Have a working knowledge of Chillers, boilers, Pumps, VAV's, Air handlers, CHP, and building Automated systems.
Maintain all maintenance shops and storage rooms in an orderly fashion and in compliance with safety regulations.
Ensure timely completion of all duties by maintenance staff personnel to minimize labor costs.
Ability to supervise, prioritize, motivate, monitor, and evaluate the work of subordinate maintenance employees.
Must have the ability to mentor subordinates and push team members to excel.
Responsible for implementing a preventive service program.
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Ability to adjust quickly to changing demands.
Good working knowledge of CMMS systems with the ability to mine and analyze data for trends/reports.
Proactive Cooperation:
Ensure that the maintenance team operates as a multi functional team with clear and open communication with other areas Knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions of the trades involved.
Lead People:
Strong skills leading direct reports in order to promote operating efficiency Serve as on-call maintenance providing evening, weekends and holiday emergency service.
Must display and maintain a sense of urgency in regards to all Casino business.
Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines.
Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed.
Assure each day's activities and problems that occur are communicated to the other shifts using approved communication programs and standards.
Display solid knowledge and skill in the safe use of hand and power tools and other materials required to perform repair and maintenance tasks.
Assists trades and custodial department as required Basic knowledge of Plumbing, HVAC, Carpentry, Electrical, Grounds.
Oversee grounds operations, and equipment maintenance/ repair.
EDUCATION and/or
Experience:
Must be a minimum of twenty-one (21) years of age.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Maryland Lottery Gaming and Control Commission.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Three (3) plus years' experience working in a supervisory role.
Ten (10) plus years' experience working in maintenance departments or trades showing progressively responsible experience performing skilled maintenance and repair work for commercial buildings and grounds.
Advanced knowledge of basic MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, and Excel) Must possess a sincere dedication to provide an unsurpassed level of owner and guest satisfaction.
