The QA Specialist is responsible for monitoring, evaluation, and reporting the performance of the Instrument Processer, IP, Decontamination Transport Assistant, DTA, Fiberoptic Specialist staff as well as others, at the Johns Hopkins Health System, in the processing of surgical instruments and scopes in regards to quality and productivity of work.
Specifically, this position will be responsible for assisting with training of new employees and confirming employee competence for the Johns Hopkins Health System.
This position will also assist the CSP Managers at the Johns Hopkins Health System at by providing improved design recommendations to the CS system.
The QA Specialist will also assist CSP managers with the implementation of department policies and procedures as well as implementing performance improvement activities for the Johns Hopkins Health System.
This position also provides regular updates to staff on current issues affecting the organization, particularly quality issues.

Johns Hopkins Hospital Baltimore MD 21287 This position will require to travel between Johns Hopkins Hospital and Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center.
Minimum
Qualifications:
Education:
A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required.
Equivalent experience beyond the minimum work experience requirement may be substituted on a 2 years' experience for 1 year of education basis.
Work
Experience:
A minimum of 5 years of surgical or instrument processing or QA experience required.
Required Licensure, Certification:
Certification as a Central Service Technician from the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CPSPD) or the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materiel Management (IAHCSMM) is required within 12 months of hire.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
