Four 10-hour Daytime shift rotation per/week of; 6:

30p to meet the department and patient needs.
Minimum requirement of 12 consecutive months of experience as a Clinical Technician.
Below are the qualifications for a Clinical Technician position at JHH as a whole.
Must have at least 1 year of CNA experience in an acute care setting.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent required Active Nursing Assistant Certification in Maryland is required 1 year of acute care (Hospital) technician experience during the most recent 2 years is required (EMT or CRT experience may be considered) BLS CPR certification required:
AHA, Red Cross or Military Training Network accepted Ability to work in a fast-paced university teaching hospital.
All Endoscopy CTs are required to train in all clinical areas of the department.
Procedures require use of radiology, lead aprons, standing for extended periods of time and pushing with set-up of large heavy equipment.
Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, and taking into consideration the developmental needs of the patient, performs routine patient care activities, transporting/transferring patient's and delegated patient care procedures of a specialized and technical nature which includes observing and monitoring patient condition, identifying changes in collected patient data and notifying nurse, setting up and maintaining specialized large heavy clinical equipment, knowledge of aseptic technique, collecting blood specimens, IV insertion experienced preferred and performing related nursing procedures.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent Knowledge:
Knowledge of skilled technique, basic wound care, patient safety, and patient transport techniques.
Knowledge of recording and reporting pertinent clinical data.
Knowledge of setting up and management of specialized patient care equipment.
Determine appropriate information and resources needed related to clinical situation.
Organize and summarize information.
Make judgements regarding routine patient care activities within scope of practice.
Highly effective verbal communication and interpersonal skills to establish united working relationships that foster optimal quality patient outcomes and collaboration.
Demonstrated skills in performing routine patient care activities.
Data entry and computer proficiency required.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
-Procedures may require use of radiology fluoroscopy, lead aprons and standing for extended periods of time.
-Possible exposure to communicable diseases, hazardous materials, radiation, and pharmacological agents.
-Work requires standing and/or walking for extended periods of time.
-Work requires flexibility of your daily assignment to change and/or changes to meet the department and patient care needs.
-Work requires transferring and transporting of patient's with lifting of 35lbs or greater, moving large heavy equipment with set-up without assistance, unless special accommodations are in place.
