POSITION DESCRIPTION The Program Associate supports the implementation of CASH's financial capability programs such as benefits screening, case management, and referrals to other services.
The Program Associate will deliver services at a variety of place-based locations in the Baltimore area and at CASH's main office.
Principal Job Duties and Responsibilities Financial Capability Direct Services 80% Provide courteous, professional and confidential one-on-one benefits screening and application assistance to help customers access and maintain benefits.
This will be accomplished by using several online case management tools such as:
EarnBenefits Online (EBO), and MDThink.
Follow-up with clients and document outcomes in online systems and assist with producing outreach reports and client success stories for funders as needed; Assist customers with troubleshooting questions that may arise while applying for benefits.
Raise awareness about the direct services provided by the CASH Campaign of Maryland via public outreach events as needed; Provide Financial Navigation support via phone for clients who have requested support; Select appropriate next steps and referrals to resources identified within EarnBenefits; Collect data and client success stories using EarnBenefits Online tool; Gather updated information for various benefit programs to ensure that referrals and processes are accurate; and Follow required protocol and program requirements.
Other 20% Maintain knowledge of industry trends and best practices.
Assist with community outreach including dissemination of marketing and outreach materials.
Attend and participate in internal and external meetings and professional development opportunities.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications Bachelor's Degree with of three years of experience in a human service field such as social work or counseling.
Experience working with a non-profit organization and knowledge of benefit programs is desirable.
Demonstrated ability to work with diverse organizations and people.
Ability to work with online systems and navigate processes.
Ability to meet deadlines and juggle multiple tasks.
Excellent written and communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
COMPENSATION Salary range is $40,000 - $45,000 commensurate with experience and includes a generous benefits package of full health coverage, parking, short- and long-term disability, employer retirement match and more! The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
