The primary objective is to efficiently lead a team to install and construct all aspects of a commercial roofing job.
Position is responsible for meeting daily job goals and deliver our clients a completed project on time and on budget.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Ability to read blueprints and plans and to manage a crew of 8 or more people.
Demonstrate a mastery of all types of roofing systems, single-ply or built-up.
Meet daily job goals and deliver our clients a completed project on time and on budget.
Experience handling tenant improvement, inspection repairs, preforming punch list for job completion.
Show working knowledge of how to operate all company equipment including cranes, tankers, bobcat and conveyor.
Report daily job progress and participate in future job planning, including completion of required paperwork.
Be responsible for job inventory.
Oversight of job safety.
Assure that workers, clients and the public are safe during the entire length of the job.
Help to train less experienced employees to become more proficient in roofing work, and occasionally manage a helper.
Motivate, reward and coach all workers on your team, as well as assisting peers.
Required
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of commercial roofing experience Experience in leading teams of 2 or more construction workers on large projects.
Demonstrate a skill set and history of leadership and building high performing work teams.
Experience in reading blueprints.
Basic computer knowledge.
Ability to lift 50lbs or more.
Good communication skills, particularly with clients and the public.
Be customer focused.
Show a growing ability to delegate tasks and improve skills of subordinates.
Interests in job planning and performance measurement of daily job goals.
Valid ID and reliable transportation Pass pre-employment drug screen & physical Preferred, but not required,
Experience:
High school education or higher.
OSHA 10/30 and/or First Aid CPR and other construction related training and certification.
Experience installing shingles, slate and tile.
