0 Full-time 15 hours ago Full Job Description Brief Summary of Job Duties Ensures compliance with established internal control procedures by examining records, reports, operating practices, and documentation while ensuring that department's service levels meet the established standards.
Monitor check distribution process while tracking checks on hand.
Monitor and document funds transfer process both internal (unit to unit) and external (unit to bank).
Perform quality assurance test on both CASH and Non-CASH transactions.
Statements, State Rstars/FMIS records & University General Ledger.
Reviews daily deposit information with bank statements.
Under the direction of the Bursar perform multi-level reviews, prepare financial reports, assist with the coordination of on-site audits and data collection and submission.
Research and prepare presentation on new/revised state and federal regulations related to higher education, Title IV funds, financial data, reporting and compliance Performs other duties as assigned.
Requested Minimum
Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's degree required in Accounting.
Experience:
At least two years of experience auditing or reviewing complex financial transactions.
Strong ability to organize and coordinate large workloads in a timely and effective manner.
Must be able to development complex combined data reports that can be used of projections, trend analysis, cash flow budgeting and forecasting related to doubtful accounts.
Strong oral and written communication skills are essential.
REQUIRED
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Computerized billing, receivable, collection and accounting systems and software; personal computers; calculators; adding machines; and telephone.
Other Preferences for Consideration Specialization in Business Administration, Information Systems, or relate field also considered.
