The ideal candidate will have previous experience in Heavy Civil Estimating, be organized, motivated, detail-oriented and driven.

We perform all types of civil construction such as earthwork, utilities, concrete flat work/paving, and concrete structures for both private and public clients Responsibilities and Job Duties:
Take ownership of our preconstruction department.
Can acquire and organize bidding opportunities from the use of various websites, journals, other means.
Conducts weekly estimating review meetings to prioritize and dispatch estimates to the team.
Review takeoffs and estimates and prepare them for executive to review.
Is always in the details of a project, knows the competitive set, analyzes project risks, and maintains a competitive edge.
Can estimate in addition to managing others.
Be hands on.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Detail oriented.
Developing and maintaining good healthy and effective relationships with internal and external clients Identifying and evaluating all the technical issues that are related to projects.
Preparing the estimated plan and coordinating estimate development with the project team, including the development of an estimate schedule Being present and actively participating in pre-bid meetings and site tours Understand how to effectively estimate self-performed earthwork, wet utility, and concrete operations.
Qualifications 3
years' experience in civil estimating, Engineering degree is a plus but not required with relative experience.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to disseminate information effectively.
Strong organizational and self-management skills, which equip a chief estimator with the composure and ability to focus and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to pay particular attention to detail, good decision-making skills, and the ability to approach and handle problems strategically.
Adequate knowledge of corporate objectives that impact estimation, market strategies, and techniques, and contracts Experience with takeoff software such as Bluebeam and AGTEK is a plus.
