$52,540.
00 - $63,856.
00 Annually A Recreation Inclusion Specialist plans, coordinates, implements and evaluates comprehensive inclusion support and medical support services for BCRP programs on a city-wide basis.
Work of this class involves supervising part-time staff.
Incumbent receives moderate supervision from a technical superior.
Employees in this class work a conventional workweek, but some evening and weekend hours may be required.
Work is performed both indoors and outdoors, where there may be some exposure to uncomfortable or hazardous working conditions.
Work requires moderate physical exertion.
Selection Process:

Minimum
Qualifications:
On or before the date of filing the application, each candidate must:
EDUCATION:
Have an Associate's degree in therapeutic recreation (or recreation with a concentration in therapeutic recreation) and/or related field (e.
g.
special education) from an accredited college or university.
AND
Experience:
Have two years of experience in providing recreational services to participants with disabilities or providing inclusion services OR EQUIVALENCIES:
Have an equivalent combination of education and experience.
LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS, AND CERTIFICATIONS:
Have a valid Maryland Class C Non-Commercial driver's license or an equivalent out-of-state driver's license acceptable to the Office of Risk Management is required.
Certification as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) by the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification.

EXAMINATION PROCESS:
Applicants must provide sufficient information on their application to show that they meet the qualifications for this recruitment.
Successful applicants will be placed on the employment certified eligible list for at least six months.
The examination will consist of a rating of your education, training, and experience as presented on your application and as they relate to the requirements of the position.
You may be required to complete supplemental questions to further examine specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities of the position.
