Technical Training Specialist - Manufacturing

Job DescriptionWe are searching for a reliable, innovative Technical Training Specialist who will be responsible for the development of training content relevant to the manufacturing processes of our organization.
You will join our team of professionals and be responsible for conducting training needs analyses, updating and creating training content for multiple operating areas, facilitating training with new hires and seasoned employees on operating systems and processes.
ResponsibilitiesConduct training needs analyses and assessments to determine what training is required to improve employee job knowledge and performance.
Liaise with Production Engineers in the development of training content relevant to various processesObtain, organize, or develop training procedure manuals, guides, or course materials, such as handouts or visual materials.
Present information with a variety of instructional techniques or formats, such as group discussions, or lectures.
Ability to promote a positive safety culture and compliance with EHS procedures and regulationsCoordinates employee training including new hire orientation, operator qualification, maintenance craft apprentice and specialty training programs, instructor led training, skill enhancement, refresher training, and fulfilling all regulatory and quality system requirementsCoordinates Learning Management SystemEnsure that training material and objectives comply with safety standards and codes.
Required SkillsProven ability in the key areas of assessing training needs, developing, planning and executing training, and evaluating training effectivenessKnowledge and experience with instructional design theory and implementationKnowledge and practical experience in effective adult learning principlesStrong technical writing and verbal communication skillsAttention to detail and organizational skillsProficiency in MS OfficeRequired ExperienceAt least 5 years of manufacturing experience or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquiredExperience developing and delivering manufacturing related trainingPreferred QualificationsAA/BA/BS degree in technology, education, training or other appropriate disciplineATD CertificationTechnical writing and documentation experienceFamiliar with Lean Manufacturing concepts and tools#WRGRACE.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
