Role Summary/Purpose
At GE Middle River Aircraft Systems, we design and build Nacelles for commercial aircraft applications. Our products help make it possible for millions of people to fly quickly and safely all around the world. In this role, you will lead the design effort across multiple sustaining programs.
Essential Responsibilities
Design and document Nacelle components and assemblies, including thrust reversers, inlets, and fan cowls.
Coordinate with other functions to meet business standards, practices, and procedures as well as product/program requirements.
Execute product processes related to design, analysis, test, materials, manufacture, quality and/or productivity.
Perform Root Cause and Corrective Action investigations on events occurring in fleet of fielded hardware.
Initiate and execute engineering changes to support cost out, weight out, and producibility projects
Effectively communicate with the engineering program manager to:
Prepare for technical and program reviews within the organization.
Develop and Execute plans to achieve technical and program requirements.
Develop action plans in response to problems.
Participate in technical reviews and adhere to design practices and standards.
Create engineering change packages, including part definition and change substantiation.
Provide technical inputs to cost out projects and associated reviews.
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited university or college with a minimum of 15 years of experience in Engineering
A minimum of 10 years of experience in an Engineering position related to the design of Nacelle structures
Experience in the design of Composite Aircraft structures
