Summary:
We are seeking a friendly and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Customer Service Representative.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing customer service for in person customers, phone inquiries, and email inquiries.
For in person customers, you will be responsible for answering questions about our products and using our point of sale system to ring up the customers (10-20 customers a day April to August, and 0-10 customers a day the rest of the year).
When not with customers, you will answer all phone calls, answer customer Q&A, check on the shipping status for customers, take phone orders, etc.
Throughout the day, you will be responsible for replying to all email and Amazon inquiries from new and existing customers.
Good communication skills are very important for this job, including speaking and writing.
This position will report directly to the General Manager, and will also interface with the rest of our team (about six people).
Duties:
- Greet customers with a warm and friendly attitude in person and/or on the phone - Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately -Be knowledgeable about our array of products, including our syrups, ice cream toppings, and popcorn.
- Assist customers in locating products and answering their inquiries -Responding to email inquiries in a timely fashion, answering customer questions, taking orders, and otherwise assisting - Process returns, order cancellations and exchanges in accordance with company policies - Maintain a clean and organized work area -Work with the warehouse staff to ensure the shelves are properly stocked - Promote sales by offering additional products or services - Provide information about product features, pricing, and warranties - Handle customer complaints or concerns with patience and professionalism -Help out with fulfillment of e-commerce orders on surge days, as needed -Seek assistance from General Manager or other associates when you don't know the answer.
Skills:
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to resolve issues effectively - Proficiency in basic math for cash handling and transactions - Familiarity with operating a point of sale system and handling various payment methods - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written - Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment - Knowledge of retail sales techniques and strategies - Knowledge of Shopify preferred, but not required - Attention to detail - Basic computer skills for using Shopify on-line, using customer service email portal, and using Amazon Seller portal If you are enthusiastic about providing exceptional customer service in person and by phone/email, we invite you to apply for the position of Customer Service Representative.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
