Summary:
As we continue to grow, we are seeking an individual to be an Assistant Warehouse Manager, upon completion of our training program, that is skilled in the Shipping and Receiving profession to join our team.
For the right person possessing the work ethic and skills this role will advance into a leadership role and manage the warehouse to maximize efficiency and accuracy as we continue to grow.
DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Initial Responsibilities Master and understand all aspects of the warehouse and it's functions here at P1.
Which include the following.
Pulls and packs inventory orders in an efficient and timely manner.
Processes all shipping labels through UPS WorldShip, USPS, and FedEx software.
Verifies order accuracy of all inbound and outbound shipments.
Maintains inventory of packing/shipping supplies and requests reorders as needed.
Keeps accurate records of all goods shipped and received.
Makes product deliveries in company vehicle to various customer locations.
Obtains customer signature on all delivery tickets and provides customer with receipt.
Operates forklift, pallet jack and/or other equipment as needed to move inventory to various locations in the warehouse.
Examines all inbound shipment deliveries for damage prior to accepting.
Reviews purchase orders or shipping manifests to confirm inbound shipment accuracy.
Receives and checks in deliveries and inventory transfers for stock items and puts them on shelves in proper locations.
Maintains a clean and organized work area, operates floor machine and other cleaning/maintenance equipment as necessary.
Adheres to company policies and Standard Operating Procedures The company reserves the right to add or change duties at any time Assistant Manager Duties:
Oversee and manage daily operations of the quality control inspection process and shipping and receiving, ensuring efficient and effective processes Develop and implement strategies to optimize productivity and streamline operations Support multiple departments shipping needs throughout the building Train, coordinate and supervise associates, providing guidance and hands on support as needed Monitor and evaluate performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and hold all staff accountable for these metrics and all policies and procedures Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth coordination of activities and flow through the warehouse.
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to operations Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment Must learn and be able to perform the Quality Control position at a high level SKILLS AND
Qualifications:
Valid state driver's license in good standing required Knowledge of WorldShip software Ability to lift up to 75 pounds Excellent leadership and management skills Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach Effective communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines and metrics Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience:
At least 2 year of experience in a warehouse/shipping department setting Experience in UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager and DHL Online Quality Control Inspector experience preferred Experience in lean methodologies and continuous improvement initiatives Previous experience as a warehouse associate or clerk is required This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual who is looking to grow their career and advance into a management position.
