Summary:
With supervision, acts as a resource and provides services to prospective, current, and former employees and maintains human resources information systems for the organization.
Provides support to the HR Director and office management.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Essential Functions:
Maintains, processes, and initiates current and former employee information in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and manual systems when necessary.
Assures various compliance timelines are met, including but not limited to annual TB tracking.
Manages office procedures including ID system and visitor system, supplies, and equipment.
Coordinates with the HR Generalist to process pre and post hire requirements for new employees.
Coordinates with the Staff Development Specialist for the planning and production of special events to recognize and support staff, including staff appreciation programs.
Coordinates mailings for staff and volunteers.
Provides support to the HR Director.
Performs general clerical duties (reception, filing, document production).
Assists with gathering personnel records for various audits throughout the school year.
Manages the background check and processing of any contractors working at the school.
Marginal Functions:
Performs Additional Duties as assigned.
CONDITIONS:
Equipment Used:
Computer (Dell compatible systems using Windows), Microsoft Office and Google Suite, multi-line telephone, copy machine, calculator, FAX machine, scanner, printers, binding machine.
Performance Standard:
Must fully comply with all employment related laws, regulations and standards, and all school standards regarding human resource policies and procedures.
Work Environment:
Multiple indoor environments around campus with a variety of sound, lighting and temperature conditions.
Work Schedule:
40 daytime hours (8am-4pm with some flexibility) Monday through Friday with daily hour unpaid lunch; some overtime required.
Position follows a twelve-month schedule.
Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or GED required; Associates degree preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience working in an administrative capacity, preferably within an HR department.
Applicable internship experience may be substituted for years of work experience.
General knowledge of HR and personnel practices and principle.
Experience with an HRIS required.
Paylocity preferred.
Comprehensive knowledge of recordkeeping practices.
Basic knowledge of the School's benefit program, organizational structure, and employment practices and policies.
Excellent planning, time management, organization and interpersonal skills.
Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and Google Suite.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
