The Johns Hopkins HospitalThe Pediatric Intensive Care Unit / PACU, (PICU), is a 40 bed unit that provides comprehensive medical and surgical intensive care for children from birth to 21 years old.
The PICU is Maryland's only Level 1 pediatric trauma center and state-designated pediatric burn ICU for children up to 15 years of age.
Medical diagnoses include respiratory failure, metabolic disorders, seizure disorders, multiorgan failure, shock, toxic ingestions, and neonatal and pediatric ECMO.
Surgeries include extensive general, cardiac, thoracic, orthopedic, and neurologic procedures.

8 Hour Day Shift
Qualifications:
oHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredoActive Nursing Assistant Certification in Maryland is requiredo1 year of acute care (in-hospital) tech experience within the most recent 2 years is required (EMT or CRT experience may be considered)oBLS CPR certification required:
AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network acceptedClinical Technicians at The Johns Hopkins Hospital have the opportunity to provide highly skilled and compassionate patient- and family-centered care as contributing members of the healthcare team.
Ongoing education is provided to all Clinical Technicians to ensure that all techs perform at the highest level of their certification and scope of practice.
During your first year, you will have the opportunity to attend eight days of training off the unit, which provide interactive learning activities to support your personal and professional development.
