The Life Enrichment Coordinator provides leadership to the neighborhood/villages in activities, assuring each neighborhood's abilities to promote the psychosocial well being of all elders and to plan and carry out interests and social activities for elders and the neighborhood, including activities creating a diversity of opportunities for meaningful pursuits, daily pleasures, recreation, exercise, friendships, social interaction, growth and learning, fun, enjoyment, personal routines and neighborhood rituals.
Works to grow the neighborhood team members in activities expertise.
Works cooperatively and respectfully with elders, team members, families, visitors and volunteers to create a positive and pleasant environment in the home.
May involve direct problem solving, conflict resolution and ensuring that the activity needs and desires of the elders are met.
Providing knowledge and skills to the Life Enrichment Specialists of the neighborhoods/villages, assuring that the neighborhoods have the needed resources (materials, supplies, skills and knowledge) to be successful in the Life Enhancement area of specialization.
Ensures adequate documentation that complies with federal, state and facility standards for neighborhoods and elders. This includes but is not limited to chart audits and documentation of elder's attendance at all functions.
Associate's degree in Gerontology, Behavior Health, Activities/Recreation or related field with two years experience working with seniors in a long-term care setting (group home, skilled nursing facility, or day care) required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
_Associates Degree and certification such as Activity Director Certified (A.D.C.) is required._ Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
